Meet The Coaches

Jermine Velasco

Hi, My name is Coach Jermine , the founder and CEO of The Windy City Aces. I have 8 years of experience playing volleyball and played all 4 years throughout my high school career. I was a team captain each year and played outside hitter and middle blocker! I’m looking forward to grow with this next generation of athlete and can’t wait to meet all of you.

Gian Bobila

Hello, my name is Coach Gian! I am a co-founder of Windy City Aces Volleyball Club, and have played the sport for over 17 years.  Currently, I am also the head coach of the GMPD co-ed Volleyball program. Volleyball was a large part in molding the core group of this company. Windy City Aces was founded on the belief that participation in team sports is essential in any youth's development. However, our organization wanted to provide an easily accessible program that will allow our athletes to grow without restrictions, and foster an environment that will maximize the potential of each athlete. I look forward to working with you!

Brian Yoo

Hello, my name is Coach Brian! I have been playing volleyball since I was 14 years old and played throughout my years in middle school, highschool, and even college. I attended club volleyball twice with both Chicago Bounce and D1 Volleyball Club. I also attended Maine East HS where I played varsity for three years. I then played DII volleyball at Roosevelt University in Downtown Chicago. I have always had deep enjoyment in playing and watching volleyball, as it is one of the most entertaining and rewarding sports out there. I hope to utilize my skills to inspire the next generation and produce the next first-class athletes in the north Chicago suburbs.
